These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Liberty Networking website at libertynetworking.org and the associated web application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Liberty Networking ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Membership
Liberty Networking is a membership-based professional networking organization. Membership is subject to the following terms:
- Application: Prospective members must submit an application. Acceptance is at the discretion of chapter leadership.
- Chapter assignment: Members are assigned to a specific chapter. Chapter transfers may be requested but are not guaranteed.
- Dues and fees: Membership may require payment of dues or fees as determined by your chapter. Payment terms and amounts are communicated separately and are not managed through this Service.
- Good standing: Members are expected to attend meetings regularly, participate in referral exchanges, and abide by the organization's code of conduct.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Provide false or misleading information in your profile, applications, or referrals.
- Use the member directory or contact information for unsolicited marketing, spam, or any purpose unrelated to Liberty Networking activities.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or areas of the Service that you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
- Harass, threaten, or behave disrespectfully toward other members, guests, or staff.
- Use the Service to promote illegal activities, discriminatory behavior, or content that violates the rights of others.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, including profile information, referral descriptions, and request forms. By submitting content, you grant Liberty Networking a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating the platform.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you submit. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is the property of Liberty Networking and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the organization, other members, or third parties.
You may request to deactivate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@libertynetworking.org. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Data deletion is handled per our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Liberty Networking does not guarantee any specific business results, referrals, or outcomes from membership or use of the Service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Liberty Networking and its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Liberty Networking in membership dues during the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Liberty Networking, its officers, directors, volunteers, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in the state where Liberty Networking is headquartered.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify members of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Liberty Networking is organized, without regard to conflict of law principles.
